Today, we're diving into the heart of Saudi Arabian cuisine with a dish that's both traditional and innovative - Olive oil and Date Molasses Glazed Lamb.

This recipe is a beautiful fusion of sweet and savory flavors that will tantalize your taste buds. The succulent lamb, glazed with a rich and sweet date molasses, is a treat to the senses. But the real magic happens when we add olive oil to the mix. The olive oil not only enhances the flavor of the lamb but also gives it a beautiful glossy finish that's truly irresistible.

Together, olive oil and date molasses create a sweet and savory glaze that complements the lamb perfectly.

Preparation time: 10 minutes, (plus 60 min for marinating)

Cooking time:20 minutes

Servings: 4

Ingredients:

  • 4 lamb leg steaks (about 200 grams each)
  • 1/4 cup of Al Jouf Organic olive oil
  • 1/4 cup of date molasses
  • 4 cloves of garlic, minced
  • 2 teaspoons of chopped fresh rosemary
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. In a small bowl, whisk together Al Jouf Organic olive oil, date molasses, garlic, rosemary, salt, and pepper until well combined.
  2. Place the lamb steaks in a large ziplock bag or a shallow baking dish and pour the marinade over them. Turn to coat them evenly and refrigerate for at least an hour or up to overnight.
  3. Preheat your oven to 200 degrees Celsius (180 degrees fan-forced) and line a baking tray with parchment paper.
  4. Remove the lamb from the marinade and shake off any excess. Place them on the prepared baking tray and roast for 15 to 20 minutes or until your desired doneness. You can baste them with some of the remaining marinade halfway through for extra flavor.
  5. Transfer the lamb to a platter and let them rest for 10 minutes before slicing and serving.
  6. Enjoy your Al Jouf Organic olive oil and date molasses glazed lamb with your favorite side dishes and salad.
